The Book for Beginners

Learning Web Design: A Beginner's Guide to (X)HTML, StyleSheets, and Web Graphics This book is being used as a college text to teach students HTML, (X)HTML and the basics of CSS. This is a book that I used when I needed to learn HTML. Consequently and without even realizing until later, I learned CSS too. Not the intricate CSS you may be thinking but the basic foundation of the Blood and Guts of CSS. This is "THE" book if you are at the point where you want to learn but do m=not know where to start.
I picked this book up...started reading and typing and within minutes published my first hand-coded website. Within a week I was diving into Dave Shea's site and influencing my own (X)HTML with Cascading Style Sheets. You can look at any of the sites I've built and/or have under construction and ALL but one of them will prove this book is a key.
